چکیده

Our examination of the interplay ultrafast charge dynamics and electron-phonon interaction in bilayer MoS2 provides a microscopic basis for understanding features (two peaks) emission spectrum. We demonstrate that while initial accumulation excited occurs at near Q point two-dimensional Brillioun zone, takes place predominantly through two pathways: direct recombination K indirect phonon-assisted electrons valley holes {\Gamma} hill Brillouin zone. Analysis wave vector dependencies traces higher energy peak to relaxation from conduction band. results thus reveal importance photoemissive properties few-layer transition-metal dichalcogenide. These calculations are based on time dependent density functional theory matrix formulation.

Ultrafast dynamics of massive dirac fermions in bilayer graphene.

Bilayer graphene is a highly promising material for electronic and optoelectronic applications since it is supporting massive Dirac fermions with a tunable band gap. However, no consistent picture of the gap's effect on the optical and transport behavior has emerged so far, and it has been proposed that the insulating nature of the gap could be compromised by unavoidable structural defects, by ...

Ultrafast photoluminescence from graphene.

Since graphene has no band gap, photoluminescence is not expected from relaxed charge carriers. We have, however, observed significant light emission from graphene under excitation by ultrashort (30-fs) laser pulses. Light emission was found to occur across the visible spectral range (1.7-3.5 eV), with emitted photon energies exceeding that of the excitation laser (1.5 eV). The emission exhibit...

Ultrafast electron dynamics in the charge density wave material TbTe3

Gaining insights into the mechanisms of how order and broken symmetry emerges from many-particle interactions is a major challenge in solid state physics. Most experimental techniques—such as angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES)—probe the single-particle excitation spectrum and extract information about the ordering mechanism and collective effects, often indirectly through theory....

Ultrafast electron localization dynamics following photo-induced charge transfer

Molecular dynamics occurring in the earliest stages following photo-induced charge transfer were investigated. Femtosecond time-resolved absorption anisotropy measurements on [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+), where bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine, reveal a time dependence in nitrile solutions attributed to initial delocalization of the excited state over all three ligands followed by charge localization onto a single l...

Ultrafast charge photogeneration dynamics in ground-state charge-transfer complexes based on conjugated polymers.

The charge photogeneration and early recombination in MEH-PPV-based charge-transfer complexes (CTCs) and in MEH-PPV/PCBM blend as a reference are studied by ultrafast visible-pump-IR-probe spectroscopy. After excitation of the CTC band, an immediate (<100 fs) electron transfer is observed from the polymer chain to the acceptor with the same yield as in the MEH-PPV/PCBM blend. The forward charge...
